Ramsbottom Festival 2013

Ramsbottom Festival is an award winning weekend featuring over fifty amazing artists and musicians including international acts, emerging UK talent and local heroes.

The beautiful town of Ramsbottom comes alive with an eclectic mix of music and great arts and family shows to showcase the very best in Lancashire hospitality.

Located just twelve miles from Manchester city centre, our festival features three stages, heaps of activities for all ages and the very best scrumptious local food and ale. Our commitment to quality attracts great artists and friendly audiences for an intimate small festival experience. Vibe is an unusual word but we found it – or so people tell us.

Our artistic policy

Ramsbottom Festival is produced by the team behind The Met in Bury. The Met is an arts centre run by a charity to promote the arts. We are not for profit and motivated by developing audiences and artists. The festival is our annual celebration of all things Met - music, theatre, participatory workshops, welcoming communities and developing audiences and artists. The Met is especially well known globally for its programme of folk music and children's theatre.

In programming Ramsbottom Festival we look to our core values and hope to produce something unique, amazing, high quality and worthwhile. We are not Glastonbury. We're not even Green Man. We're definitely not V Festival. They are all great in their own way but Ramsbottom is something different.

We plan to make programming decisions Feb - May but things can happen outside of that period. We programme with audiences in mind - both existing and new ones. We have a small team who are busy running a venue, festivals, recording studio and programme of arts activities throughout the year. We try and look at all proposals for the festival and The Met.

If you think there is a specific reason why Ramsbottom Festival is right for you as an artist then please do get in touch. We will reply to everyone we can but please note that not every artist is right for the festival - this year...
