After five years away, Scottish alternative rock band Idlewild have returned with new album Everything Ever Written. Released in February this year the band's eighth studio recording represents a new chapter, both personally and creatively.
Produced by the band's guitarist Rod Jones and mixed by John Agnello (Kurt Vile, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr.) whom they collaborated with on their 2002 release The Remote Part and augmented by new members Luciano Rossi (piano, organ and vocals) and Andrew Mitchell (bass, guitar and vocals), Everything Ever Written is Idlewild's most eclectic output to date. The album features twelve tracks of alternative rock woven together from strands of Scottish folk, Americana and Hebridean psychedelia.
Vocalist Roddy Woomble explains "The record soundtracks a period of transition. Working without time constraints gave the whole thing a creative freedom. Idlewild is a new band to me now; I'm excited for the future."
Brighton six piece The Go! Team combine indie and garage rock with a mixture of Bollywood soundtracks, double Dutch chants, old school hip-hop and distorted guitars with sampling and live instrumentation. Their first album, Thunder, Lightening, Strike was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2005 and song Get it Together becoming synonymous with game Little Big Planet. Since then they have gone from strength to strength playing all over the world and having songs feature regularly on radio playlists. Their latest album The Scene Between was released earlier this year.

John Bramwell, songwriter and singer with I Am Kloot. John will be performing songs from all of the Kloot albums and throwing in a few bizarre anecdotes along the way. He'll be accompanied by cello and piano for only the second time since his legendary Live at the Trades album.
Until now, Andy and Jez Williams have been best known as two thirds of Doves, whose four albums took them around the world, including stadium-sized gigs with U2, Elbow and Coldplay. You can hear echoes of Doves in their new band, Black Rivers, but it's more electronic, more diverse, more brilliantly psychedelic, tugging at the heartstrings in a different, more kaleidoscopic way.
Tom Robinson is a British songwriter and broadcaster. He has hosted programmes on BBC Radios 1, 2, 3, 4, 4 Extra, 5 Live and 6 Music - where he currently presents three shows a week. In recent years he's become known as a champion of independent musicians - both through BBC Introducing and via his own new music blog at Fresh On The Net.
In 2015, inspired by the vibrancy of today's new artists, Tom has returned to the recording studio with award-winning producer and multi-instrumentalist Gerry Diver to make his first new album in almost twenty years. The songs are as vibrant and edgy as any he's ever written: the sound of a veteran craftsman - drawing on his long, rich fund of experience - with a renewed energy and purpose.
Space Monkeys were the last band to be signed by Tony Wilson to his legendary label Factory Records. Tony discovered the band playing in a snooker hall in Bury at a private party they had thrown with their friends Soft, who later went on to become Elbow. Their debut album The Daddy of Them All, released in 1997 sold a quarter of a million copies. They are returning after fifteen years to play only a few special shows.
Edward II uniquely blend the rhythms of the Caribbean with traditional songs from the British Isles. This time around the band has been delving deep into a repertoire of songs born of the industrial revolution, specifically of their home town, Manchester. Still upbeat, and with rock-steady rhythms, blazing horns, fabulous harmonies and fiery melodeon melodies, this will be a new set mixed with some of the old favourites and a familiar sound for the faithful.
Walk have established themselves as a bonafide word-of-mouth DIY phenomenon, playing to packed audiences across the UK and enthusiastically championed by BBC 6 Music's Marc Riley.
The Slow Readers Club are a Manchester based four piece who specialise in dark and brooding indie electro. Their last three singles have enjoyed airplay on BBC 6 Music and XFM. The band have been getting rave reviews for their live shows, highlights in 2014 including a sold out show at Manchester's Night and Day, Tramlines Festival, Party in the Pines and Blackthorn Festival, including support slots with Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Struts, Reverend and the Makers and The Sunshine Underground.

Informed by the eclectic sounds of the fifties big bands, New Orleans jazz and proto-funk, Lazy Habits take hard hitting beats and slick lyrics about modern British life and tie them together with infectious hooks and clever arrangements. After their impressive set at Rammy 13 we're excited to welcome them back. The band describes their sound as: "Beats, Rhymes and Brass of the highest calibre."
New York Tourists are an alternative band described as Queens of the Stone Age meets Foals. Their EP Dead Man's Leather received rave reviews, and their single Chew Me Up, Spit Me Out was one of BBC Introducing top 10 tracks of 2013. Since then they have gone on to support the likes of The Subways, The View and The Sunshine Underground and play numerous festivals throughout the UK.
Described as one of the leading rock bands in the universe, Randolph Swain and the Red Lights are mind-bendingly unique. Follow Randolph and his crew deep inside his imagination and join him on a trip of a lifetime.
Singer-songwriter Jesca Hoop was plying her trade in California until a meeting with Bury boys Elbow persuaded her to swap Los Angeles sunshine for Manchester rain. Now firmly rooted in England's north west, her quirky and passionate songs blend British pastoral folk with earthy American blues and roots.
The Plumedores are a three piece blues, folk and roots band from rural north Manchester. Front man Danny McTague and Elbow guitarist Mark Potter have played together and shared a passion for music since they met in their teens. Guitar player Dean Casement was asked to join after a chance meeting at a jam night in Ramsbottom, adding the missing ingredient and completing the line up in 2013.
The band have a raw, stripped back sound consisting of acoustic and electric guitars, harmonica and vocal harmonies with a vintage 1960's drum machine providing the back beat.

Science of the Lamps is a project dreamt up by Liverpool based musician Kaya. They've become a beast of proportions, lighting up the crowds at festivals and high profile events alike. Now an 8 piece outfit, their inspiration comes from vaudeville, visual art, early Hollywood movies, Nordicana, wine, trip-hop, music boxes, speakeasy's, Paris and whiskey bars. Lyrical gems flowing out of notebooks and off the back of beer coasters combine with sultry sounds of darkness and light.
Joseph Lofthouse is a singer-songwriter hailing from Lancashire who is fast becoming known for his intricate guitar work and engaging live set. His debut EP The Four and Two was released in late 2014 and seeks to capture the energy and presence that Joseph's live shows are becoming known for.
Since Joseph's first release he has gone on to support the likes of Elbow and headline a festival acoustic stage. 2015 has already brought two more Elbow support slots to his door and he is making plans for a 2015 EP and an autumn tour to support the release.
The harp 'n' banjo driven electro-folk-storytelling of Harp and a Monkey is imbued with a deep Lancashire sensibility that shines through in their beautifully crafted and sometimes spooky vignettes of northern life, love and remembrance. A favourite at the festival we are pleased to welcome them back for the 5th time.
Eastern-swing Balkano-gypsy madness. Baksheesh love to bring the party, from fast swinging eastern dance tunes to their own unique takes on classic pop and rock songs. Get ready to be entranced… and transformed into Whirling Dervishes!
Heavy On The Magic are a breath of dirty air. They have been the face and sound of Dr Martens AW13 campaign and have toured the UK and Europe, picking up celebrity fans in the form of Johnny Marr and Guy Garvey, to name a few, along the way.
Manchester-based indie-rock band whose latest album City of Light was released earlier this year.
Dave Fidler puts a contemporary spin on the traditions of folk and blues, paying homage to songwriters like Bob Dylan and Paul Simon with bluesy slide guitar and intricate fingerstyle. This combination teamed with the captivating stories that he tells through his songs make it easy to see why he is currently touring the UK and Europe as main support to I Am Kloot's John Bramwell. Dave's debut album I'm Not Here was released in November 2014.
Ramsbottom's own Horses on the Move combine Bakersfield Country sounds with West-Coast sunshine melodies. Since their formation in 2013 they have been quickly establishing themselves as ones to watch on the festival scene.
Our Last Riot combine the wry approach of blues with the ferocity of punk and twist it through a soundscape of expertly layered guitars, resonant keys, sliding bass, drums and haunted vocals.

Ex-lead singer and songwriter of Juliet Rises Charlotte Mary brings her distinctive and unique voice to the stage to perform some of her new material.
Bourbon Street Beat are a three piece rock'n'roll outfit with a sound building on 50s and 60s influences, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Rolling Stones, Elvis, as well as the alternative indie sounds of more recent years. Their recent single Crossing on a Bend received great reviews and made them "hotly tipped as one of the most exciting alternative bands in Manchester" Gigslutz
Singer-songwriter Owen Denvir played viola in orchestras from a young age before turning to more pop and indie-focused work. He channels his orchestral experience into his own complex and affecting songwriting, combining it with beautiful vocals.
